Pinetucky has a fully equipped modern rifle range. The rifle range offers 12 concrete benches at a distance up to 100 meters. The firing points are fully covered and the range is baffled for safety. We are proud to have hosted several International Olympic shooting teams for training prior to the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
Rimfire Benchrest
Pinetucky is having a monthly Rimfire Benchrest Match. Check the calendar for dates & times. There is a class for any scoped 22LR rimfire rifle. Rules are available at the clubhouse, or by calling Steve during normal hours. Two targets are shot in the match: a USRA-IR50/50 50 yard, 25 bull rimfire benchrest target is shot in the 50 yard stage, then an IBS 100 yard Hunter target is shot at 100 yards. The 100 yard target has 5 scoring bulls and 5 score shots are shot in each one. Targets are scored for each stage, then scores are combined for a grand aggregate overall winner.
These scores reflect using the new USRA-IR50/50 50 yard targets. These are much harder to score on than the old IBS 50 yard targets because the scoring rings and X-dot are considerably smaller. (see the attached image for the IR50/50 target)
We only had two shooters and it was cold. Only shot the 50 yard event.
